Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by RuPaul Charles, DANCING QUEEN is a one-hour reality series set in the dancing, prancing, world of the multi-talented, multi-layered Justin Johnson (aka Drag Superstar Alyssa Edwards) as he juggles his dance life, drag life, family life, and love life. Filmed in Justin's hometown of Mesquite, Texas, Dancing Queen goes behind the makeup and into the drag performer's highly competitive Beyond Belief Dance Company as he prepares a young class for an intensely competitive season. The series opens with a new season at Beyond Belief Dance Company, and Justin's got big plans for the future. Alyssa goes all out to officiate a wedding. Justin's ready to buy his first home, but the purchase stirs up painful memories. A harsh critique in the studio leaves Kiana in tears. With L.A. just a few days away, the Minis might not be ready to compete. Meanwhile, Justin makes plans to move and throws a blowout Halloween bash. Alyssa's drag daughters Shangela and Laganja Estranja make guest appearances in this series. Netflix released the eight-episode first season of DANCING QUEEN on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
