Plot Synopsis

Created by Kwon Hae-bom and Park Hyun-seok, COMEDY ROYALE is a half-hour unscripted series that is a comedy battle royale, featuring 20 of Korea's hottest comedians, who come together to compete for a chance to host a Netflix show. The comics enter the game to assemble a diverse group of comedy characters -- from Gil Eun-ji to Kwak Kyoung-young -- and the battles begin. For their first merciless challenge, each team must come up with multiple comedy sketches within two hours. A secret vote decides who will be sent home. Round two begins -- and this time, it's a roast challenge. The roast challenge continues -- with the trailing teams working hard to gain the lead. Which team will wow the audience and which will be eliminated? In the penultimate episodes, three teams remain, and the final battle of resilience begins, where they must make their opponents laugh and resist laughing themselves. Finally, the surviving contestants struggle to keep a straight face as they spare no effort to be the last team standing. Who will finally take the comedy crown? All six episodes of COMEDY ROYALE dropped on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 on Netflix.
