Plot Synopsis

Based on J.P. Pomare's 2019 book, "In the Clearing," THE CLEARING is an eight-part psychological thriller that follows the nightmares of a cult and a woman who's forced to face the demons from her past in order to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future. The story opens after Asha is kidnapped, and her elder sister Amy teaches her the rules of Blackmarsh. Blamed for Asha's bad behavior, Amy is forced to take LSD as part of her clearing for her sins. The first two episodes dropped on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 on Hulu, with a new installment debuting each Wednesday through July 5.
