Plot Synopsis

Created by showrunner Elizabeth Ito, CITY OF GHOSTS is a 20-minute animated series that follows the Ghost Club, a group of kids who discover stories around Los Angeles by communicating directly with the ghosts who inhabit it. Ito is a native of the City of Angels and the series explores her personal experience growing up as a yonsei (a 4th generation Japanese American) living in various multicultural neighborhoods across Los Angeles. Ito explores how generations of diverse inhabitants can affect the changing dynamics of neighborhoods and the communities that form in them. Netflix released the six-episode first season of CITY OF GHOSTS on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
