Plot Synopsis

CEMENT HEADS is a half-hour reality series that follows the owners and crew at WJL Equities, a large family-owned construction company, as they balance being on camera with running a concrete construction business in Upstate New York. Billy Lougheed is at the helm of WJL Equities, and with a monthly payroll of over $1 million, he feels pressure to keep the family business thriving. By his side, and often one step ahead, is wife and business partner Danielle. Married for 15 years with two kids, the couple has found the secret to working together -- two separate offices. Billy's best friend, Chubby, has an inclination for trouble and an eye for detail, especially when it comes to his wardrobe. Billy's parents also serve as an integral part of the team. His father, Sarge, is a former deputy sheriff who still thinks he's the boss, while his wife Joan, who is known for her frequent risque comments, keeps herself busy cleaning Billy and Danielle's house and the office. When the series opens, Billy and Danielle are faced with a tight deadline to put in a bid on an important new job, while Billy tries to get Sarge and Chubby to run a few simple errands -- but they prove to be little help. After three weeks, A&E moved CEMENT HEADS to Saturday afternoons, airing multiple episodes on the same day beginning Saturday, September 6, 2014.
On Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 2-3pm ET/PT, A&E premiered back-to-back new episodes, including the season finale at 2:30pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "Who Wears the Pants," Billy issues Chubby an ultimatum -- stop wearing shorts to work, or risk losing your job. Chubby turns to another big man, Tiny, for help in finding a place with something stylish. Meanwhile, Billy's kids have the day off from school, and Billy wants to teach them the value of hard work by bringing them to WJL for the day. It finally hits Joan that she's going to be on TV, so she asks Sarge to take her and Danielle shopping for a few new outfits.
