Plot Synopsis

CATCHING TAIL is a half-hour reality series that follows the adventures of Team Nauti, a tournament fishing team that competes for prize money along the U.S. Gulf Stream and the Caribbean. Team owner Bruce Davis puts it all on the line, as he finances the season with his crew, including: veteran angler Chuck Greller; greenhorn and apprentice Kayla Mitchell; and his colorful captains, Ben Braun and Scott Ryals. The series begins with Team Nauti gathering in Southport, NC for the U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament, where spirits are high and expectations are raised as the team meets for its very first tournament. Captain Ben is encouraged by an early catch leading him to call it an day. Bruce disagrees with this idea, and his concerns are justified when the team ends up near the end of the pack on the first day. Day two begins with promise before Captain Ben and Bait Master Chuck get into an argument in the last minutes of the tournament.
