Plot Synopsis

''Carnivale'' is an epic battle of good versus evil that follows a traveling carnival as it wends its way across the American Dust Bowl in 1934. Ben Hawkins is a mysterious 18-year-old fugitive with hidden talents who is taken in by a traveling carnival. Half a nation away in Mintern, California, Brother Justin, a charismatic, shadowy evangelist is beginning to realize the he too has special gifts. As Ben tries to understand and harness his powers and Brother Justin maps out his future, the two men are set on a cataclysmic collision course that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.
