Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Kerstin Sofie Laudascher, BOOM BOOM BRUNO is a six-part crimedy series that follows Bruno Klopel, the head of the local police force and self-proclaimed ladies' man, who enjoys the many vices that his small German town has to offer, even after a cancer diagnosis threatens to upend his debaucherous lifestyle. The series opens with trainee Mark getting to know his new partner, Bruno, as the murder of a local drag queen threatens to upend life for Chief of Police. Then, Bruno and Mark dig into the particulars of Sugar Candy's murder, starting with head drag queen Lady Lovelyn. Later, Mark and Bruno each experience romantic highs and lows on their respective dates with the handsome Mikky Flinn and the elusive Alice. All six episodes of BOOM BOOM BRUNO dropped on Thursday, December 7, 2023 on Max.
