Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of BODIES IN THE WILDERNESS explores a different crime after a body is found in remote areas. All three episodes debuted back to back from 9pm-Midnight ET/PT on Thursday, February 8, 2024 on Investigation Discovery:

"Something Evil in Santa Cruz" (9pm): When 19-year-old Linda Jozavich vanishes from work one night in 1979, it just doesn't make sense to her Santa Cruz community; years later, the murder of another local teen, Lois Sigala, sends investigators a step closer to solving Linda's case.

"Four Murders, One Witness" (10pm): A massacre in Gitchie Manitou State Preserve leaves four teenagers dead and police baffled; a witness comes forward with a tale of murder and survival that could solve the gruesome crime.

"The Appalachian Trail Killer" (11pm): Sean Farmer travels to a remote campsite in Virginia for a fishing trip with his friend Scott Johnston; when a stranger appears, the area's dark past returns to haunt the campers.
