Plot Synopsis

Based on Carolina Neurath's 2016 book, "Fartblinda," BLINDED is a thriller that follows young financial journalist Bea Farkas, who is having a secret affair with bank director Peder Rooth. She knows it's unprofessional -- it's her job to investigate people like him -- but she's in love and can't bring herself to end it. Neither of them are typical to their line of work. They both come from working class backgrounds, both have moved up the socioeconomic ladder. She's single, he's married to an upper-class woman Sophie. But when she's given the assignment to monitor the bank's quarterly report, Bea soon senses that Peder is hiding something. After premiering with the title FARTBLINDA in Sweden, this series had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as SundanceNow released all eight episodes.
The eight-episode second season of BLINDED made its U.S. debut on Thursday, August 18, 2022, as SundanceNow released all episodes of the new season. Season 2 opens with Bea meeting Peder in Malta while working on a story about a hyped lending company, Easy, that exploits gambling addicts. Bea is unhappy with her first article about Easy, but when she digs deeper, she meets resistance from her own paper. Then, Bea infiltrates Together Casino's VIP department to see how gambling addicts are exploited by Easy. An Easy co-owner decides to blow the whistle.
