Plot Synopsis

Each episode of this series is based on a different PI Hector Belascoaran Shayne novel by Paco Ignacio Taibo II, where Hector Belascoaran solves a new crime in Mexico City in the 1970s. The series opens with Belascoaran leaving his corporate job and dull marriage to become an independent detective and tackle shocking criminal cases. All three episodes of BELASCOARAN, PI dropped on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 on Netflix:

"Days in Combat": Belascoaran participates in a TV quiz show and teams up with a mysterious woman to unmask a strangler in Mexico City. Based on the book "Days of Combat."

"Something Easy": Belascoaran tackles two new chilling cases: the kidnapping of a TV star's daughter and the murder of a union leader. Based on the book "An Easy Thing."

"There Won't Be a Happy Ending": When Belascoaran becomes a nuisance to the police, they plant a corpse in his office to implicate him in a murder. Based on the book "No Happy Ending."
