Plot Synopsis

BATTLE ON THE MOUNTAIN is a six-episode reality series that three skilled teams -- coached by home experts Rico Leon, Kim Myles and Kim Wolfe -- who face-off to upgrade similar mountainside homes in Breckenridge, Colorado. With HGTV star judging the weekly challenges, each team works to add the most property value in hopes of clinching bragging rights and a $50,000 cash prize. The two-hour premiere episode, "Kitchen Clash," spotlights the mountaintop property's metamorphosis, judged by popular HGTV home renovation couple Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, who award the challenge winners with a $3,000 cash prize. As the season continues, the coaches guide their teams -- married couples Amber and Trey Masciarelli of Bellaire, Ohio; David and Stephen St. Russell of Dorchester, Massachusetts; and Lymari and Tony Navarro of Bloomington, Indiana -- as they take the living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor spaces from dilapidated to delightful. Throughout the season, more HGTV stars stop by to survey the spaces in each home, including Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson; Jasmine Roth and Page Turner; and BATTLE ON THE BEACH mentors Taniya Nayak, Ty Pennington and Alison Victoria. Cristy Lee also presents extraordinary challenges that test the stamina of the renovation teams.

Today (Monday, March 4, 2024) from 10-11am, "Behind the Battle," a new one-hour special, debuts. This program, originally scheduled for 8pm, goes back to where it all started with exclusive behind-the-scenes moments and bloopers, revealing details about how all three teams designed spaces they hoped would stand out to the judges.
