Plot Synopsis

Business consultant Jon Taffer transforms struggling bars and nightclubs across America by helping owners create a profitable drink/food menu, manage crowds, select music and deal with disgruntled employees. Jon is a bar and nightclub owner who has started, flipped, or owned over 600 bars and clubs in his career, and is a founding member of the Nightclub & Bar Advisory Board. Plus, he's been intimately involved with the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show and Nightclub & Bar magazine since its inception.

In Season 2 Taffer visits a different failing establishment in cities all around the country, including Washington, DC, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Plus, as Taffer travels from lace to place, he's joined by his wife, Nicole, his daughter, Samantha, and a rotating group of experts including chef Josh Capon of Burger and Barrel and the Lure Fishbar in New York, Diageo brands' chief mixologist Elayne Duke, chef Brian Duffy of CBD Solution, hospitality consultant Jesse Barnes, and official DJ and musical director for Eminem, Nas, and Jay-Z, DJ Green Lantern.

Season 3, which premiered on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 10pm ET on Spike, featured Jon saving a Bourbon Street bar in New Orleans, transforming a cockroach-infested rock bar in Austin, Texas, and fixing many more bars, pubs and nightclubs. BAR RESCUE returned for its Season 3 spring premiere on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Spike TV. In the first episode back, Taffer helped a heavy drinking owner of an Irish sports bar is the subject of a hostile takeover...by his co-owners!

BAR RESCUE returned for its 20-episode fourth season on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Spike TV. In the season premiere, a Huntington, NY nightclub resorts to an 18-and-over night to draw a crowd, but ends up liable for unruly teenagers while an infestation of mosquitoes and fruit flies puts the owner in a precarious position. Season 4 continues with Taffer rescuing bars in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey and other major US cities. After a two-month break, BAR RESCUE returned for its Season 4 Summer premiere on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Spike TV, immediately following an all-day marathon (1-9pm) of encore episodes. In the summer premiere episode, "Sticky Situation," Taffer goes to San Francisco and attempts to rescue Park 77, a struggling family business being run into the ground by an immature family member who has trouble not drinking the inventory -- or giving it away. Taffer tries to clean up this family business's "pornographic" past, and keep this dive bar from falling too far in debt. BAR RESCUE also features bars in Reno, NV, Portland, OR, and San Diego, CA throughout the rest of the season.

The fifth season of BAR RESCUE premiered on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Spike, immediately following a 10-hour marathon (11am-9pm) of encore episodes. In the season opener, "The Perks of Being a Wallpaper," Las Vegas's last classic dive bar with mob ties is about to close its doors due to an owner who's too busy being a nice guy to act like a wiseguy. During the rest of the 30-episode fifth season, Taffer also travels to bars in San Francisco, Palm Springs, Seattle, and additional cities across America. Plus, Spike will debut ten more "Back to the Bar" specials, which continue to revisit infamous bars from the series' past. In the newest iteration of these "where are they now" specials, Jon Taffer and a studio audience celebrate the most memorable "Bar Rescue" personalities and relive classic "Bar Rescue" moments. "Back to the Bar" also features new, never before seen footage of Taffer's experts checking back in at previously rescued bars, and revisits tense confrontations between Taffer and well-remembered owners. BAR RESCUE returned with new Season 5 episodes on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on Spike, as the new season features additional bars in Las Vegas, NV, Los Angeles, CA, and Chicago, IL. In the summer premiere, "Casually Tapped Out," Taffer must resurrect Casual Tap, a closed neighborhood bar in Chicago, IL, by reigniting the passion of the burnt-out firefighter who owns it.

Season 6 of BAR RESCUE premiered on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount Network. In the season opener, "Put It on Cody's Tab," a son takes over Game Time Sports Grill, the failing family business in Memphis, TN, and must battle his belligerent father, a volatile cook, and a filthy kitchen before Jon Taffer shuts it down. After a six-month break, BAR RESCUE returned with new episodes on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount Network, immediately following an all-day marathon (6am-10pm) of encore episodes. In this new episode, "The Lights Come Back in Puerto Rico," a brother-and-sister duo from Puerto Rico find themselves in over their heads after Hurricane Maria destroyed their bar. After a six-week break, BAR RESCUE returned with new episodes on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount Network. In the mid-season premiere, "All Blaze, No Glory," an owner with a frat boy mentality must shape up and learn how to properly manage his bar, or risk losing his business and the opportunity to leave his three grandsons a financial legacy.

BAR RESCUE returned for its seventh season on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount Network. In the season opener, "SacTown Going Down," Jon -- joined by rapper T-Pain -- is in Old Town Sacramento, CA, to convince Kings fan Chris he needs to change his sports bar concept if he's ever going to make money. Later this season, Jon helps NFL superstar Marshawn Lynch improve his bar, Rob Ben's.

The eighth season of BAR RESCUE premiered on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount. Jon Taffer embarks on a cross-country tour of the worst drinking establishments in America. Bad drinks, wild staffs, and wasted owners conspire against him and his experts as they give failing businesses one last shot at success. As the restaurant/bar industry suffers due to the pandemic, this season will focus on the city of Las Vegas and will reach its 200th episode. After a seven-month break, BAR RESCUE returned with new episodes on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on Paramount. In the mid-season premiere, "Penalty on the Bar," in Dunwoody, GA, Jon Taffer tries to help a former hospitality professional regain his passion for the industry and save his flailing bar.

Bad drinks, wild staffs, and wasted owners conspire against him and his experts as they give failing businesses one last shot at success. In the season opener, "Deadliest Kitchen," Jon heads to Gilbert, AZ, to help an owner who has dedicated her life to a bar with a dangerously dirty kitchen and an untrained bar staff.
