Plot Synopsis

ANIMAL is a documentary series that follows the world's most magnificent creatures, capturing never-before-seen moments -- from the heartwarming to the outrageous. The series chronicles the lives of eight animal families of the natural world, including a mother lioness, a wild dog family, a kangaroo joey and a young giant pacific octopus. The entire four-episode first season of ANIMAL dropped on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 on Netflix:

"Big Cats": Majestic, powerful and deadly, big cats were once thought to be solitary creatures. But we're now realizing just how collaborative they can be. Narrated by Rashida Jones.

"Dogs": Be it foxes on city streets or wolves on the tundra, canines rely on sharp senses, athleticism and fierce determination to punch above their weight. Narrated by Bryan Cranston.

"Marsupials": It's not all about the pouches. These mammalian misfits are full of surprises, from flamboyant kangaroo showdowns to rattling koala mating calls. Narrated by Rebel Wilson.

"Octopus": In changing seas and oceans, cephalopods like the cuttlefish and the giant Pacific octopus must rely on their remarkable intelligence to survive. Narrated by Pedro Pascal.

ANIMAL has been renewed for a second season, featuring the voices of Andy Serkis, Anthony Mackie, David Harbour and Uzo Aduba.
