Plot Synopsis

Based on the book. In 1941, blind California rancher Gordon Holly travels to Connecticut to visit his wealthy, sheltered blind pen pal, Jean Treadway. A romance blossoms despite the protests of her intimidating father.They soon marry and set up housekeeping on his small homestead. Over the years they struggle to raise their four children, one of whom becomes blind, while building a successful business and overcoming their fears.
