Plot Synopsis

In 1970's Philadelphia, investigative reporters Jonathan Neuman and his partner Phil Chadway uncover police corruption among homicide detectives who were known as the ''The Goon Squad'' as the waged a war of brutality and intimidation against the citizens of the city they were sworn to protect. The cops begin a campaign of scare tactics designed to force them to drop their expose. Undeterred, they print a series of damning articles which eventually garnered them a Pulitzer Prize.
