Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Alex Kotlowitz. In Chicago's Henry Honer Housing Project, a crime infested and violent inner city apartment complex, a devoted mother tries to keep her sons from joining the gangs. As her twelve year old boy becomes more infatuated with the'' boyz in the hood'' she fights to escape the deplorable conditions and find a new beginning for her children.
