Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Mikal Gilmore. In 1977, convicted murderer Gary Gilmore demanded that the state of Utah carry out his death sentence. Before the deciding whether the family would petition for a stay of execution his youngest brother Mikal, decides to get to know his brother after years of struggling to distance himself from his troubled family. During a their death-row meetings he soon begins to understand his dysfunctional brother as well as his own tortured past.
