Plot Synopsis
On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks refused to give her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus. Her peaceful defiance sparked a bus boycott and the birth of the modern civil rights movement. Her experiences in childhood and early adult life helped shape her philosophy of ''quiet strength'' and belief in herself. The effects of her actions cause strain on her marriage as her husband, Raymond, fears for her safety.
