Plot Synopsis

A strange plague has filled the streets of San Francisco with hordes of the undead. The only safe place appears to be Alcatraz, and many survivors have made it their new home. Biologist Dr. Lynn Snyder and another young woman, Ashley, are desperately trying to radio Dr. Hodges, a mainland survivor who is supposedly researching a vaccine. Soon the Zombies attack the island but most are killed. The group determines it's unsafe to remain on Alcatraz and use a raft to leave the island. But once in the raft, the Zombies attack almost instantly. It is not without casualties that the survivors make it to shore. Dr. Snyder, Ashley, and a few others split from the rest to look for Dr. Hodges. They finally reach his research lab, after fighting off swarms of deadly Zombies. With more of them inching ever closer, the doctor explains there is a helicopter on the roof. As they are about to make their escape, Dr. Hodges gives his vaccine to what's left of the group. Having fought off the undead and in the helicopter with no sign of infection, they are safe for the time being. But they have no idea what sort of future the world now holds.
