Plot Synopsis

A 14 year-old girl works at a nearby racetrack and dreams of becoming a jockey. She discovers that she can talk with horses and soon becomes best pals with a thoroughbred with a major lack of self-confidence. They decide to team up and pursue their goal of standing proudly in the winners circle. But a series of misadventures threatens to veer them off course, along with her waitress mother, who adamantly protests her becoming a jockey, afraid she will get killed like her father. All works out and both girl and horse realize victory at the day of the big race.
