Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Jim Dent. In the summer of 1954 young college football coach Paul ''Bear'' Bryant'' takes over the Texas A&M football program and begins an arduous training regime that teaches his players commitment and perseverance. His squad endures ten days of torturous drills in blistering high heat in which only 35 out of 110 prospects remain-- but begins a powerful bond between player and coach that proves a winning combination.
