Plot Synopsis
Based on the book, ''Woman of Color, Daughter of Privilege: Amanda Dickson'', by Kent Anderson. In the mid 1800's Amanda America Dickson who, was born of a slave mother and a white plantation owner, is raised and educated as if she were white. Years later, when her bi-racial background is revealed, she must fight family members to keep her rightful inheritance after her father's death leaves her his considerable fortune. She win the court battle, reunites with her ex-slave mother and becomes the wealthiest black person in the state of Georgia.
