Plot Synopsis

When troubled teen Jillian Sanders, who is on probation, is arrested and her neglectful mother is missing, she is taken in by the well-respected family of her best friend, Melanie Jordan. She starts to rebuild her life, but when Melanie dies after a long mysterious illness, she begins to suspect that Melanie's mom, Cheryl, might not be the loving mother she seems to be. Soon Melanie's younger sister, Hillary, begins to exhibit the same symptoms as her dead sister. Now Jillian must fight to find out the truth, save the life of Hillary, and face the fact that the only mother figure she has ever known just might be a murderer suffering from Munchausen by proxy syndrome.
