Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Brian Keene. During the summer of 1984, in a small southern town, a teenage couple goes missing among the gravestones of the cemetery. As graves are vandalized and others disappear, 12-year-old Timmy and his best friends, Barry and Doug, soon begin to believe the local legend about a sinister Ghoul that haunts the cemetery. Damaged by their abusive childhoods, each of the boys harbors their own personal demons, and as they dig deeper for the truth, they are forced to put their friendship to the ultimate test when they uncover long-buried secrets and the horrific creature hiding underground.
