Plot Synopsis
A Philadelphia schoolteacher and single mother of a teenage boy is stricken with scleroderma, a degenerative disease that causes the skin and vital organs to harden and then deteriorate. She moves to California to live with her parents and be near her brothers, one a successful sitcom writer. Together the family tries to cope with her impending death and the tragic loss of a loved one.
