Plot Synopsis
A compassionate social worker tries desperately to help a teenage deaf-mute who has been abused by her father and kept virtually a prisoner in a rundown tenement . With the help of her new mentor the illiterate young woman soon learns sign language and begins to blossom into an intelligent and trusting young woman.
