Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''Mr. Bojangles-Biography of Bill Robinson'' by Jim Haskins & N.R. Mitgang. Chronicles the life of Bill ''Bojangles'' Robinson who headlined vaudeville and Broadway for almost 30 years as the first black solo dancer in an era in which black entertainers were not allowed to perform alone on stage. From his early days as young charismatic dancer, to his later years which were plagued by marital, health and financial problems due to his insatiable gambling.
