Plot Synopsis

In 1957 NY City, the relationship between two African American brothers, one a police captain and the other a criminal defense attorney, is torn apart when the captain's ''model'' son is accused and confesses to the murder of a white youth. . The boy's uncle reluctantly agrees to defend him, but soon finds reason to believe that he may not be telling the whole truth. The investigations and trial lead the attorney to a conspiracy that cuts deeper than even the local police department.
