Plot Synopsis

A Minnesota couple find themselves in a bidding war for a baby when they try to adopt a child from a shady New York lawyer who specializes in international adoptions. Frustrated and outraged they ask the FBI to intervene and are shocked to learn that baby-selling is not a felony. Subsequently, a dedicated NY police officer and his partner track them down and ask them to take part in a sting operation to bust the lawyer. Through their efforts, New York made it a felony to charge for the adoption of a child.
