Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Jane Maas. Susan Nicholas is a newspaper copy editor who wants to make her mark as a writer. A real Christmas Grinch ever since her boyfriend dumped her on Christmas Day, she finds it ironic when her boss gives her a big break -- to write a Christmas-themed story about her family's carved wooden angel, which supposedly has the magical ability to bring true lovers together. She soon begins the task of unraveling the details of a romantic triangle from her grandfather's life. As her Christmas Eve deadline nears, she finds herself being courted by Brady Howe, a freewheeling artist with lots of spontaneity and charm, in stark contrast to her uptight and by-the-book personality. He's a Christmas buff who is trying to reawaken her holiday spirit, not to mention win her love. But as Susan keeps pushing him away, she ultimately realizes that he holds the key not only to the intriguing mystery behind her family angel, but also to her heart.
