Plot Synopsis

A lonely farmer is contemplating selling his land and retiring after his wife dies. His shiftless nephews, who own half the property, and their wives are all for the sale especially when a Texas oil man wants to buy the mineral rights. Since both families are struggling, the money is sorely needed. The old man is conflicted when his old pal and ex-tenant farmer, unhappily retired in Houston, asks to come back to live on the farm.
