Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. In 79 A.D. Italy, a simple blacksmith becomes a champion gladiator. He falls in love with a blind slave girl who also aches for a Greek nobleman. Lust is left in the dust when the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius destroys their hopes and dreams.
