Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Chris Nirschel, HOUSE OF FOOD is a one-hour reality series that follows a group of aspiring young chefs with no formal training who live together in a house in Los Angeles, where they vie for an apprenticeship by competing in a culinary school taught by three professional chefs. The three chefs are: Casey Lane, the Executive Chef of The Tasting Kitchen in Venice, CA, who moved to Los Angeles in 2009 after attending culinary school in Portland, OR at age 18; Brendan Collins, Executive Chef and proprietor of Waterloo & City and Larry's in Los Angeles, who moved to the City of Angels in 2002 to become chef at Melisse Restaurant after working as a sous chef for legendary chef Marco Pierre White at Quo Vadis in London; and Brooke Williamson, a Chef/Owner at three Los Angeles restaurants -- Hudson House, The Triple and Playa Provisions -- who was previously executive chef of Zax in Brentwood and placed runner up on Season 10 of TOP CHEF: SEATTLE.
