Plot Synopsis
Executive produced by Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass, ANIMALS is a half-hour, animated comedy series that follows downtrodden creatures living in New York City. Whether it's lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of these non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own. Each 30-minute episode features three stories, including: a rat that invents pants; a moth that tries neon light for the first time; two fish couples having a tense dinner; a papillon being thrust into an unwelcoming dog park; a dog-walking group dealing with an unexpected secret; two dogs dissecting their owners' first date; two privileged feline siblings finding their perfect day interrupted by a crafty alley cat; a goose that sets off on his own, attempting to bond with a flock of Central Park swans; and many more tales of animals living in Earth's least habitable environment. Guest voices include Eric Andre, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, Katie Aselton, Jessica Chastain, Rob Corddry, Jay Duplass, Mark Duplass, Ellie Kemper, Nick Kroll, Lauren Lapkus, Melanie Lynsky, Marc Maron, Kumail Nanjiani, Horatio Sanz, Adam Scott, Molly Shannon, Wanda Sykes, Cobie Smulders, Kurt Vile, Matt Walsh, Zach Woods and Steve Zissis.
