Plot Synopsis

TEEN MOM: THE NEXT CHAPTER is a one-hour docuseries that explores the lives and experiences of mothers from TEEN MOM OG and TEEN MOM 2 -- Amber, Ashley, Briana, Cate, Cheyenne, Jade, Leah, and Maci -- as they appear together in one series that focuses on the unique bond this "Mom Group" shares as they face the reality of parenthood and adulting while entering the next phase of life together. As the moms explore the different stages of motherhood -- some have kids in diapers, while others are now parenting teenagers -- they all share the same experience of becoming mothers so young. In the season opener, "Wishful Thinking," Amber, Catelynn, Maci, Cheyenne, Leah, Briana, Ashley, & Jade all come together and start a group chat to stay in touch. Briana wins the lawsuit against a former TEEN MOM 2 cast member.

On Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT, MTV premiered the finale of the two-part TEEN MOM: THE NEXT CHAPTER reunion. Leah discusses why she broke off her engagement. Amber expresses her anger at the court's custody decision. Cate details how she feels about her open adoption. Ashley & Bar keep a united front when explaining his warrant that escalated to extradition.

After a seven-month break, TEEN MOM: THE NEXT CHAPTER returned with two new episodes on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 8-10pm ET/PT on MTV. In the night's first episode, "Patient Love" (8pm), Cheyenne throws her dream wedding. A car accident puts Ashley's & Holly's life at risk. Briana gets stuck in Florida when Hurricane Ian derails her plans to travel to the wedding. Jaylan & Leah are not as happy as they should be after getting engaged. Then, in the second episode, "Who Raised You" (9pm), Cate and Ty buy a new house, Jade shops for wedding dresses, Bri discovers Devoin's romantic feelings, Maci extends an olive branch to Ryan, and Chey supports Cory and Taylor during their daughter's heart surgery.

The sophomore season of TEEN MOM: THE NEXT CHAPTER debuted on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT on MTV. Catelynn Baltierra, Jade Cline, Cheyenne Davis, Briana DeJesus, Ashley Jones, Maci McKinney, Leah Messer and Amber Portwood return for the new season. The moms are stepping into new territory, some of them giving driving lessons to their adolescents and others weighing their desire to have more children. In the midst of it all, they are juggling their relationships, prioritizing time for their significant others and navigating personal discoveries. Season 2 sees Mackenzie McKee joining the cast with her boyfriend and making big plans for the future. Additionally, Jenelle Evans makes a special appearance amid her divorce and life-changing moves. In the season opener, "Till Death Do Us Part," the moms come together to celebrate and cut loose at Jade and Sean's wedding! But with a court date looming will Jade's mom be able walk her daughter down the aisle? Cheyenne and Zach clash over having another baby while Ashley contemplates divorce.
