Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by series star and showrunner Ziwe Fumudoh, ZIWE is a half-hour comedy variety series that features interviews, musical numbers, guest stars, sketches and more - including unscripted and unpredictable interactions with everyday people. In the series opener, "55%," Ziwe discusses the phenomenon of white women with guest Fran Lebowitz and hosts a focus group for real women named Karen.

The sophomore season of ZIWE premiered on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 11pm ET/PT on Showtime with the first of six new episodes. ZIWE returns for a second installment of new Season 2 episodes later in 2022. In the season opener, "Critical Race Theory," Ziwe explores the controversy surrounding Critical Race Theory with media juggernaut Charlamagne Tha God and then hosts a PTA meeting with parents adamantly against CRT. Featuring iconic special guests Amandla Stenberg, Larry Owens, Jocelyn Bioh, Nore Davis and Ike Ufomadu. After a 5.5-month break, ZIWE returned with new episodes on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 11pm ET/PT on Showtime. In the fall premiere, "Men!," Ziwe explores the male psyche with Michael Che then challenges the patriarchy with Julia Fox. Featuring iconic guests Benito Skinner, Michael Antonucci, George Civeris, Sam Taggart and Ronald Metellus with music by Ziwe & Jen Goma.

On Christmas Day 2022 (Sunday, December 25) at 11pm ET/PT, Showtime premiered "Juenteenth," the season finale of ZIWE. Ziwe explores the commercialization of Juneteenth with Wayne Brady; also, she sends a correspondent to go Juneteenth Caroling; featuring guests Laura Benanti, Larry Owens, Michelle Davis and more.
