Plot Synopsis

In this spinoff of TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS, Zac and Fatima take a huge step to strengthen their bond, but their past actions interfere with their blossoming relationship, along with these new friends:

Nathan is one of Zac's friends he often plays basketball with and a conflicted soul. Nathan is married to Lori who, keeps him in check at every turn and holds him accountable for his responsibilities.

Bryce is a relatively new friend of Zac's who works with Gary and is helping Zac with his stock investments. He has stepped in and become a confidant and somewhat of a rescuer to Zac. Bryce is also dating Angela, who happens to be Fatima's best friend.

Angela is Fatima's best female friend who is dating Bryce. Angela has no idea that Bryce's friend Zac is the man who is moving in with Fatima -- and instantly realizes that she's heard all about the shady corners of Zac's life from Bryce.

Deja is Devale's tenant, who is a nail technician by day and stripper by night.

Tony is one of Zac's friends who despises love and relationships. Tony comes down hard on Zac for moving in with Fatima and tries to convince Zac that because he has recently escaped dire financial straits, he should enjoy the freedom of having money and the single life.

Belinda is Fatima's "tell like it is" friend who adds a whole new layer of challenges to Zac and Fatima's relationship.

The first two episodes of ZATIMA dropped on Thursday, September 22, 2022 on BET+, with two new episodes debuting weekly through October 20. BET and BET Her aired a linear TV sneak peek of the series on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11pm ET/PT, BET Her aired the linear television debut of ZATIMA, with BET airing the same episode at 11:59pm ET/PT. Subsequent episodes debut weekly on Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her.



In the second season, Zac and Fatima's relationship is challenged on a whole new level. Zac deals with internal discord which is only exacerbated after seeing his mother, Gladys, whom he hasn't seen in quite a long time. Fatima begins to question herself and if she's really what Zac needs when she can't get through to him about dealing with past issues. Season 2 of ZATIMA debuted with two new episodes on Thursday, March 16, 2023 on BET+:

"Basic Instinct": Zac and Fatima disagree about how often to be intimate, while dealing with the fallout from the hot tub incident with Deja.

"Guilt Trip": Fatima makes an indecent proposal to Zac, which gives him pause. Plus tensions and old family drama run high, as Zac visits his mother.

Two episodes debut weekly thereafter.
