Plot Synopsis

This one-hour reality series follows three raft crews on Alaska's Yukon River, as they each begin preparations for a trek downstream to sell wood and supplies to native villages along the riverbank. Each raft, made from wood collected from logs and timber, serves as their home and, ultimately, profit for the next five weeks. The first crew, led by Neil Eklund, begins its raft building and search for wood. The next two crews follow close behind him, but tensions arise as the competition for profit begins. As the three rafts approach the first village of Rampart, they must decide to barter or keep on floating. Scotty's crew is placed in a tough situation by not having a tugboat, so they must venture into Rampart in hopes of bargaining for one; meanwhile, trouble arises for rookies Andrew and Josh as their raft gets caught on a sandbar. These three crews must make money fast before winter ends all their efforts.

On Monday, September 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Nat Geo premiered the season finale of YUKON RIVER RUN. In the season ender, "Make or Break," Neil and Lauro take their dogsled team deep into the forest in the wilderness outside the village of Galena, trying to reach their winter cabin. But surviving in the snow-covered wild will take all of their skill and courage. Back on the Yukon, the other two crews reach the end of the line, and must do whatever it takes to sell their rafts and get off the river before the full force of winter destroys any chance for profit.
