From the world's tallest slide in Rio De Janeiro to a high-speed, gravity-defying water ride in Orlando, Season 1 of this series showcased attractions like: Insano, a 65-mph slide in Brazil; La Chute, the world's largest, indoor, near-vertical looping slide in Vermont; Edmonton's Center of Gravity, for the world's only indoor bungee jump into water; Area 47, an extreme waterpark playground at the base of the Austrian Alps; a 40mph near-vertical drop on The Bomb Bay in Orlando; the Constrictor in Phoenix, where riders speed down the enclosed flume slide into a series of corkscrew turns; the world's tallest raft ride in Venice, Italy; the Master Blaster in Texas, a ride that revolutionized water coaster technology; a slide in Costa Rica, which is the only slide in the world that runs through a rain forest; and many more action-packed water rides. Season 2 featured water rides found in August, GA; Blue Bayou in Baton Rouge, LA; U.S. White Water Center in Charlotte, NC; Raptor Reef in Cour d'Alene, ID; Schlitterbahn in Galveston Island, TX; Hurricane Harbor in Jackson, NJ; Splish Splash in Long Island, NY; Kahoma Ranch in Maui, HI; Wave House in San Diego, CA; Sea World's Aquatica Park and Wet n' Wild in Orlando, FL; Vail, CO; Ocean Breeze Water Park in Virginia Beach, VA; Water Country USA in Williamsburg, VA; Funtown Splashtown in Saco, ME; Kalahari Water Park in Sandusky, OH to name a few, along with water rides in Bahamas, Brazil, Canary Islands, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Dubai, France, Italy, Jamaica and more. XTREME WATERPARKS returned for its third season on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on Travel Channel with a special, one-hour premiere. In the season opener, Building the World's Tallest," this series goes behind-the-scenes of the making of the world's tallest water slide, Schlitterbahn's Verruckt in Kansas City, KS. At 168-feet, 7 inches, Verruckt is the Guinness World Record holder for the tallest water slide on the planet. Season 3 consisted of four half-hour episodes and two, one-hour special episodes. On Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered the fourth season of XTREME WATERPARKS with a special one-hour season opener in New Zealand chronicling the building of the world's longest waterslide at 2,000 feet. From the newest, tallest body slide in North America, to a South Pacific island slide that can't be ridden without the village chief's blessing, Season 4 goes where no water park show has gone before. Season 5 of XTREME WATERPARKS premiered on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on Travel Channel. The season opener, "Sliding with Sharks," takes a voyage to experience a shark-infested slide in the Canary Islands. Season 6 of XTREME WATERPARKS premiered on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Travel Channel, with back-to-back new episodes to open the six-episode new season. The season opener (9pm), "First-Time Flyers," lets loose at the world's first grownups-only water park in Mallorca, Spain, then head across the pond to Waco, Texas, to ride BSR Cable Park's newest addition before catching some G's spinning though Beech Bend's Cyclone Saucers. Then, the night's second new episode (9:30pm), "Texas Typhoon," rides through the belly of Aquaconda in Dubai before Typhoon Texas makes landfall in Katy, Texas. Then take in the views at the Citta del Mare Hotel as their toboggan to the sea drops you straight into the Mediterranean.
On Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 9-10:30pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered the seventh season of XTREME WATERPARKS, showing three back-to-back new episodes:

"Empress Falls" (9:30pm): Zookeepers rappel down a massive 10-story waterfall near Sydney, Australia while dancers flip upside-down a drop slide in Tlaquiltenango, Mexico. And the Tampa Bay Storm cheerleading team hits a 50-foot raft wall in Florida.

"Perfect Storm" (10pm): A water park first-timer flies through a 60-foot tornado in Australia while two couples scream up and down the body of a giant snake in the jungles of Guatemala. And close friends flow down a slide that Mother Nature's been working on for eons.
