Plot Synopsis

Based on the true story of the Wu-Tang Clan and set in early '90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, WU-TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA is a one-hour drama series that chronicles the Clan's formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs (aka The RZA), who strives to unite a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories. On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Hulu released the first three episodes of the series:

"Can It Be All So Simple": Staten Island, NY. The birth of Wu-Tang starts with a bang -- literally.

"Winter Warz": With Divine on the sideline, Dennis and Bobby step up to handle his responsibilities.

"All In Together Now": The death of a friend sends Dennis spiraling and divides Staten Island.

The remaining seven episodes stream weekly:

"All That I Got Is You" (Premieres Wednesday, September 11, 2020): Bobby and Dennis find a new hustle to make some cream.

"Cold War" (Premieres Wednesday, September 18, 2020): Divine returns home, but it doesn't feel the same.

"Impossible" (Premieres Wednesday, September 25, 2020): A bird's eye view of Wu...

"TBSD" (Premieres Wednesday, October 2, 2020): The Diggs family moves on in different directions.

"Labels"" (Premieres Wednesday, October 9, 2020): Industry Rule #4,080...

"I Declare War" (Premieres Wednesday, October 16, 2020): The Shaolin and the Wu Tang could be dangerous.

"Assassination Day" (Premieres Wednesday, October 23, 2020): A mysterious tape makes the rounds of NYC. As people try to figure out who this group is Bobby and Dennis try to figure out how to handle Attila.
WU-TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA returned for its second season on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, as Hulu released the first three episodes of the 10-episode new season. The Clan is disillusioned with life in the projects, and Bobby knows that success in the music industry could be their ticket to better lives. But getting the Clan members to drop everything for music isn't easy. The resentment between Dennis, Sha, Power and Divine still runs deep, while the other Clan members struggle dealing with intercity life. This time around, Bobby is dedicated to authenticity and though he knows he can lead his crew through the challenges of the music business, the Clan's fractures may prove too much to overcome. Season 2 guest stars include La La Anthony, Jaqwan Kelly, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Ayanna Bria Bakari, Deshawn White, Andrew Manning, Jerry Clicquot, Curtiss Cook Jr., Jacob Ming Trent, Mandela Van Peebles and Erika Alexander. Mario Van Peebles also has directed several episodes this season. The first three episodes include:

"Little Ghetto Boys": A new beginning is soured when a single decision turns Bobby's life on its head.

"Brooklyn Zoo": Bobby goes all in on music while the rest of the Clan struggles with life in the projects.

"Hollow Bones": The Clan becomes disillusioned with their paths as Bobby prepares to steer them in a new direction.

The remaining seven episodes debut weekly on Wednesdays through October 27:

"Pioneer the Frontier" (Premieres Wednesday, September 15, 2021): RZA makes a risky move to squash old beef.

"Visionz" (Premieres Wednesday, September 22, 2021): Tension is thick as the Clan works together to build a home recording studio.

"Protect Ya Neck" (Premieres Wednesday, September 29, 2021): The Clan digs deep to make the perfect record to take the industry by storm.

"Airwaves" (Premieres Wednesday, October 6, 2021): With Protect Ya Neck in hand the Clan hustles to get it on the airwaves and in stores by any means necessary.

"Saturday Nite" (Premieres Wednesday, October 13, 2021): The pressure is on when the Clan tells label executives to come see them perform at a legendary hip hop club on a night they aren't booked.

"C.R.E.A.M." (Premieres Wednesday, October 20, 2021): RZA is torn between long money and quick cash as the Clan struggles with financial issues.

"As High as Wu-Tang Gets" (Premieres Wednesday, October 27, 2021): The Clan makes big moves for Wu domination.
