Plot Synopsis

WORLD'S WEIRDEST RESTAURANTS is a half-hour reality series that follows host Bob Blumer, as he travels around the world in search of far-from-normal dining experiences. From sushi-serving dancing robots to zip-lining waiters, Bob reveals a veritable feast of original restaurants and unique concept cafes. In each 30-minute episode, Bob showcases four eclectic eateries, including: a Taipei restaurant that serves curry in tabletop porcelain toilets; Voodoo Doughnut (Portland, OR), where Bob witnesses a wild wedding; a German restaurant that delivers Bavarian cuisine using a unique rail system; The Dining Dog Cafe (Edmonds, WA), where dogs dine on a four-course gourmet meal; US chain restaurant Dick's Last Resort, where people pay to be abused by rude waiters; Heart Attack Grill (Las Vegas, NV), where patrons gorge on four-pound bacon-cheeseburgers, all-you-can-eat fries and high-fat milkshakes; a Japanese tavern, Kayabukiya Tavern, where a trained monkey delivers fresh sashimi, fried chicken and beer to the tables; and many other restaurants with wacky characters and curious cuisines. Just a few weeks before it rebranded as the FYI network, Bio Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, June 15, 2014, showing back-to-back episodes from 9-10pm ET/PT.
