Plot Synopsis

Using first-person eyewitness stories, archival footage, and cutting-edge CGI, WORLD'S MOST EXTREME is a one-hour series that explores the world's most outrageous and dangerous airports, railways, roads, tunnels, bridges and waterways. Each 60-minute episode counts down the top 10 danger zones for a different mode of transportation, including: waterways -- from mammoth canals to ferocious seas -- that are arenas for trailblazers, criminals and adrenaline junkies; roads, including a one-lane road with a 1900 foot drop, known as Death Road; bridges -- from bridges in the sky to bridges barely standing -- that provide the easiest way to get over a body of water or a gaping canyon; railways, including trains that have literally gone off the rails and towns that have been built to inches of the tracks; airports, including a mountainside airport, where the angle is a huge challenge for even for the most experienced pilots; and tunnels, including those that pass through an entire mountain range or dive deep underground below bodies of water.
