Plot Synopsis

THE WILLIS CLAN is a reality series that follows Toby and Brenda Willis, as they instill their old-school values in their 12 children -- ranging in age from 2 to 21 -- while home schooling them and encouraging them to excel in music, competitive dance and wrestling. This series chronicles their lives as they live and learn at their home in rural Tennessee, as the older children's band tries to make it big, and as the family travels to events, like state finals and the World Championships of Irish Dance in Boston. Toby is a state champion wrestler from Chicago and a graduate of Northwestern University, who coaches the boys in wrestling and occasionally plays keyboard in the band. His wife, Brenda, a college graduate and high school valedictorian, teaches their children at home, and still finds time to do many other things including photography, leather tooling and music. Their children are: Jessica, 21, who is the main singer/songwriter in the family band -- having written over 200 pieces of music -- and also plays piano, violin and sings; Jeremiah ('Jair'), 20, who is a three-time champion in west coast swing, a three-time place winner in the World Championships of Irish dance, and is a Tennessee state champion in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling; Jennifer, 18, who is a three-time regional champion in Irish dance, a three-time national champion in west coast swing, and is currently studying ballroom dance; Jeanette ('Jet'), 17, who was paralyzed in one arm at birth but regained limited movement to compete in Irish, ballroom, west coast swing, and flamenco dance; Jackson, 15, who is a youth national champion in west coast swing and a state champion in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling; Jedi, 13, who won seven state championship titles in Greco-Roman, freestyle and folk style wrestling, dances Irish and ballroom, and plays bass, whistle, guitar and piano; Jasmine ('Jazz Kat'), 11, who won the youth national championships in west coast swing and dances Irish, flamenco, ballet, and ballroom; Juliette, 10, who is currently studying ballroom, Latin, Irish, and swing dancing and is Jedi's dance partner; Jamie, 8, who is starting to read and is learning to dance Irish, swing, Latin, and ballroom; Joy, 6, who hopes to be just like her big sisters someday; Jaeger, 3, who is already practicing his wrestling and dance moves and plays a mean air guitar; and Jada ('Dancer'), 2, who made her dance debut at Disney World. GAC first aired this program as a one-hour special on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 9pm ET/PT.
