Plot Synopsis

WELCOME TO MYRTLE MANOR is a reality series that follows Becky, proprietor of a trailer park in Myrtle Beach, SC, and the residents at her "five-star resort," as she works to improve the establishment while the lives of the quirky mobile home residents and vendors collide. Myrtle Manor -- formerly known as Patrick's Mobile Home Park -- has been handed down from generation to generation. Becky took over the reigns from her father and owner of the park, Cecil, and is feeling the pressure to succeed. Becky implemented a few improvements, like adding a new hair salon and installing an above-ground swimming pool. Plus, she has a series of rules she enforces: no pay, no stay; No. 14 no alcohol consumed outside the home; No. 17 idle in/idle out on motorcycles; and many more. A transient community, the residents come from all walks of life -- some have lived there for 30 years, others only 30 days, treating everyday like a vacation. Even though the trailer park seems different than most neighborhoods at first glance, it's really no different than any other place, with relationship drama, backyard brawls, and friendly barbecues. In addition to Becky, this series chronicles the lives of: Jeana, Becky's aunt and the show's narrator, who is making a fresh start at the trailer park with her three children, after splitting from her husband of 20 years; Cecil, Becky's father and owner of Myrtle Manor, who is one of Myrtle Beach's largest landowners and is entrusting the family legacy to Becky; Jared, who stormed into the trailer park on his crotch rocket and got a new lease on life when Becky gave him a beat-up Airstream on a patch of grass and is now married to Chelsey; Chelsey, co-founder of Darlin' Dogs, who was a Weiner girl but left her job after getting married and has found work as a mermaid at the Ripley's Aquarium; Lindsay, the other co-founder of Darlin' Dogs, who is less business savvy than Chelsey and more interested in the Myrtle Beach nightlife; Amanda, the newest Darlin' Dog, who drove the food truck wearing a "Bless Your Heart" trucker hat until the business folded; Gina, co-owner of Tangulls, the on-site hair salon, who doesn't live in the park but is happy to have Tangulls serve as the rumor mill for the residents; Roy, the other co-owner of Tangulls, who is as Southern as they come even though he's a hairdresser and former drag queen; Taylor, the king of Myrtle Beach nightlife, who was trying to manage his volatile relationship with his live-in girlfriend, Jessica, and moved out of Myrtle Manor before the second season; Jessica, Taylor's girlfriend, who, with fire-engine red hair and piercings, is a young beauty often flirting with the boy next door; Anne, Taylor's mother, who lives across the street from her son lived and tries to keep the peace -- with white wine in hand; Marvin, the security guard, who ensures the safety of the residents, directs traffic and helps Miss Becky keep the rules enforced; Marvin, the chief security officer at Myrtle Manor, who loves making perfume aromatic fragrances; Bandit, the jingle writer, who had a fancy-looking doublewide infested with roaches and mold on the inside until he moved into a houseboat after coming into some money; Miss Peggy, the eyes and ears of the trailer park, who is its oldest resident and a cancer survivor; Shellie, a Wiccan, who is the owner of Goth/Metal Club on the boardwalk; Brittney, a life-sized Barbie with a crazy side, who is obsessed with glitter, nails, and the color pink; Kim, a single mother, who loves to shop for wigs and spend time hanging out at Tangulls; Stephania, who comes from vagabond parents of Spanish and German decent, who spends her time in the Carolinas; Roxanne (aka Roxie), a single mother, who is Becky's longtime rival and runs a trailer park where people can be themselves; and Alyson, Becky's youngest daughter, who is the princess of the park and hopes to one day taker over management from her mother. WELCOME TO MYRTLE MANOR returned for its second season on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. In the season opener, Becky was tested by another trailer park, Village Creek, which claimed to be the best, reigniting a rivalry with between its owner, Roxanne, and Becky. Meanwhile, Jared investigated why his new wife, Chelsey, was lying and how she was paying the bills, and things didn't go as planned when Amanda organized their July 4th party. Later in the season: Chelsey gets baby fever; Amanda makes a move for the sexy new trailer park handyman, Brock, who is also targeted by Miss Peggy; Marvin attempts to take his relationship with Anne to the next level; Bandit weasels his way back into Myrtle Manor, making life a living hell for Becky; and a mysterious new resident named Stephania moves into the park that has all the residents talking. On Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, TLC premiered the third season of WELCOME TO MYRTLE MANOR.
