Plot Synopsis

THE WEIGHT OF THE NATION is a four-part documentary that highlights different aspects of the obesity epidemic. The four films are: "Consquences," which examines the scope of the obesity epidemic and explores its health consequences; "Choices," which reveals the science behind losing weight, maintaining weight loss, and preventing weight gain; "Children in Crisis," which documents the damaging effects of obesity on children; and "Challenges," which examines obesity's driving forces -- agriculture, economics, biology, marketing and socioeconomic disparities.
