Plot Synopsis

In this animated comedy series created by Craig McCracken, Wander, an eternally-optimistic intergalactic traveler and constant do-gooder, travels from planet to planet with his quick-tempered but loyal steed and best friend, Sylvia, as they encounter the wildest adventures while dealing with an evil villain and making new friends. On his travels, Wander wears a floppy hat that carries all his travel needs, including a banjo for when he wants to perform a ditty to lift Sylvia's spirits, a classic Polaroid camera, and the Orbble cosmic bubble juice he and his best buddy use to travel safely in outer space. Wander planet hops, spreads good cheer, and helps anyone he can -- much to the chagrin of his overly pragmatic stallion -- and their escapades lead them to clash with the evil villain Lord Hater, his right-hand-man Commander Peepers, and their army of Watchdogs, who follow him across the galaxies trying to make hate the order of the day. Whether they're reuniting a ferocious flying dragon with her lost egg, freeing the joyful Binglebopolous planet from Lord Hater's evil rule, or helping one of Hater's Watchdogs find his way back to his spaceship, each story takes place in an entirely new location filled with quirky extraterrestrial characters and exotic cities for Wander and Sylvia to explore. Series guest voices include James Marsden, Aziz Ansari, and Edie McClurg. On Friday, August 16, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, Disney aired a first-look at WANDER OVER YONDER, showing a single, 15-minute story ("The Picnic"), in which Hater has difficulty focusing on his battle against arch enemy Emperor Awesome, because Wander is picnicking right next to their epic battlefield. Four weeks later, WANDER OVER YONDER is scheduled to have its official series premiere on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, as Disney will air a 30-minute program with two stories ("The Greatest" & "The Egg").

On Monday, August 3, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Disney XD premiered the second season of WANDER OVER YONDER. In the special half-hour Season 2 premiere episode, "The Greater Hater," Wander and Sylvia's world is turned upside down with the arrival of a new villain that threatens Lord Hater's status as the Greatest in the Galaxy. Guest starring Fred Tatasciore as Lord Dominator and Noel Wells.
