Plot Synopsis

Each Friday night, Hallmark airs family-friendly movies under the WALMART AND P&G PRESENT WALDEN FAMILY THEATER banner. Showing movies from its library of films, while also developing six new original family movies in the initial run of this film series, Hallmark and its partners focus on entertainment that families can regularly gather together to watch on television. Plus, Walmart releases DVDs of the new movies the Tuesday after they air. Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late entertainment icon Steve Irwin, starred in this series' first original film, RETURN TO NIM'S ISLAND, a sequel picking up a few years after NIM'S ISLAND, as 14-year-old Nim is more determined than ever to protect her island and all the wildlife that call it home. This initiative's second original film, SPACE WARRIORS, is scheduled to air May 2013, with Dermot Mulroney, Danny Glover, Josh Lucas, Mira Sorvino and Thomas Horn. In the weeks following the premiere of RETURN TO NIM'S ISLAND, Hallmark aired movies like FLICKA (2006); FLICKA 2 (2010); and much more. Before starting WALDEN FAMILY THEATER, Walmart and P&G had previously worked together on FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT, a series of nine telefilms that aired from April 2010 through December 2011 on NBC and FOX.
