Plot Synopsis

Written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry, SISTAS is a one-hour drama series that follows a group of single black females -- Andi, Karen, Danni & -- as they navigate their complicated love lives, careers and friendships through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions and hilarious moments that are the epitome of #squadgoals. The series opens with Andi braving the highs and lows of her special day, Karen making a difficult decision, and Sabrina entertaining the prospect of new love. The "sistas" group includes:

Andrea 'Andi' Barnes: The "common sense one of the group," Andi is a successful divorce lawyer focused on taking her career to the next level. She is confident, driven, ambitious, clever, witty, and accomplished. She is reliable and the emergency call if ever needed.

Karen Mott: Owner of an up and coming hair salon, Karen is street-smart, head strong and independent. Tired of being mistreated by men, she is beginning to take a very close look at the relationships in her life. Karen is the "tough love" girl.

Daniella 'Danni' King: Danni is the kind of woman who doesn't hold back. She is the "ride or die" girl. Although she tends to be very involved with everyone else's business but her own, she means well and has the best intentions. Danni is comical, fearless and marches to the beat of her own drum. She always has her girls' back. Danni is the unbiased supporter of the group and works in customer service at the airport.

Sabrina Hollins: Sabrina is stylish and smart. She works as a bank teller and is intrigued when one of her customers asks her out. Although she tends to be reserved and plays it safe, she goes against the grain and tries something new but doesn't know how she feels about it. Sabrina is supportive of her girls and is the peacemaker of the group.



On Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT, BET premiered the second season of TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS, debuting back-to-back new episodes. Season 2 picks up right where the first season left off, with Tyler Perry taking viewers on an exhilarating ride of emotions and gut-busting predicaments that will test the ladies' long-standing friendship. This band of women, intertwined with their newfound relationships, must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30s. After a five-week break, TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned with new episodes on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her. In the winter premiere, "Let It Be," Sabrina and Danni fearfully remember how hard it was to get Andi away from her abusive boyfriend in college; Fatima learns that Hayden has been threatening Zac; Karen confronts Zac while Zac is working at the airport.

Season 3 of TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS premiered on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In the season opener, "When You're Confused," the fate of a troubled relationship is at the hands of an ex-partner. After a two-month break, TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned with new episodes on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her, of the fall premiere, "The Dollar Store."

TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned for its fourth season on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In Season 4, Andi finally focuses on her own wants and needs when it comes to her personal life. While continuing to be a top-notch lawyer, Andi tests the waters with the possibility of a new relationship on the horizon. Gary, however, goes above and beyond in an attempt to get Andi to commit to him, and only him. Danni opens the season showing Preston how she really feels about their relationship now that El Fuego is in the picture. Eventually, things get complicated when Preston begins exhibiting uncharacteristic like behavior to win Danni's attention. Karen finds herself consumed with Zac's personal life this season. Karen's emotions overtake her as she tries to reconcile her feelings between Zac and Aaron. Sabrina is the listening ear to her girlfriends and their drama, but she makes sure she doesn't forget about Maurice. While still dating Calvin, Sabrina embarks on a new journey that could lead to newfound love. Fatima basks in her love for Zac and makes it known to anyone who questions their relationship. Although Fatima finds herself facing new challenges in her relationship with Zac, her feet are firmly planted. Now that things are looking up for Zac, he and Fatima shift their focus to themselves and their future together. After a 2.5-month break, TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned with new episodes on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In the mid-season debut, "Goodbye at the Door," Fatima makes a rash decision that could have repercussions she's not ready to deal with.

Season 5 of TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS premiered on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her. The new season finds each character jumping back into the world of dating. Each of the ladies fights their personal battles while attempting to still be there for one another. Plus, this season features the show's 100th episode. In the season opener, "Pain and Suffering," Andi confronts Gary about his intention to lawyer up against her; Karen's health is at risk as she comes to terms with her depth of love for Zac.

TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned for its sixth season on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 9-10:30pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In the 90-minute season opener, "Straight No Chaser," Danni wallows in self-pity until an encounter with Preston threatens to send her off the deep end. After a two-month break, TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS returned with new episodes on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In the Fall premiere, "Daydreams," Gary gives Hayden a stern warning to be careful with Tamara's mysterious motives; Sabrina learns that Bayo's help with her and Maurice's legal situation has strings attached.

On Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT, BET and BET Her premiered the seventh season of TYLER PERRY'S SISTAS. Season 7 picks up three months after the Season 6 finale. In the season opener, "New Beginnings," new romances and old tensions collide as we check in on the lives of Andi, Karen, Danni, Sabrina, and Fatima three months later.
