Plot Synopsis

This reality series follows Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) and Timothy 'Desert Storm' Bradley Jr. (28-0, 12 KOs) as they prepare for their WBO Welterweight Championship bout at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 9, 2012. Experts expect this fight to go the full 12 rounds since Pacquiao has won 15 straight fights, with his last five fights going the distance, while Bradley has never lost, having 16 decisions in his career. Pacquiao, the Philippines' most famous citizen, has not lost since his 2005 war with Erik Morales, and he's looking to avoid distractions and make a statement after his criticized majority-decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in November 2011. He will surround himself with a trusted contingent of family and friends in the Philippines and at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood as he works with longtime trainer Freddie Roach. Meanwhile, Palm Springs, CA native Bradley, the reigning WBO junior welterweight champion, moves up one weight class. In contrast to Pacquiao's knockout punch, Bradley likes to maneuver inside with quick jabs. Bradley last fought in November 2011 -- in a high-profile co-feature slot on the Pacquiao-Marquez III pay-per-view card -- where he stopped former lightweight champion Joel Casamayor in the eighth round of an uncompetitive, foul-filled fight. On Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:15pm ET, HBO aired a 30-minute special, 24/7: ROAD TO PACQUIAO/BRADLEY, one week before the official series premiere.
